Garth Brooks can add another high profile name to his list of fans – Justin Timberlake! The young star doesn’t hold back on his admiration for the amazing country singer either, going all out to make sure the world knows he’s a fan.
On 4th December, one of the most prominent fans in the front row of Garth Brook’s concert at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis was Timberlake. Thoroughly enjoying himself, one of the fans attending the concert posted an image of the former N’Sync star thoroughly enjoying himself, even holding up his phone to catch the rest of the audience. Later, he managed to catch up with his idol backstage and getting a photo clicked with Brooks by his side, made sure the image reached his Instagram page with the caption, “One of my IDOLS. Garth… You are a MASTER of your craft. I am in awe of you, still.”
Of course, Timberlake found a fan in the country superstar’s wife Trisha Yearwood too, with the lady, a singing sensation herself posting an image on her Instagram account with Timberlake by her side and the caption, “@justintimberlake is one class act! #stlouis.”
Well, this fan story didn’t end there either. The next day, the young Brooks fan had a concert of his own at Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City and there, Timberlake, clearly not over the feeling of meeting his idol the previous day, went into an impromptu rendition of Friends in Low Places.
While Timberlake performed a cover of one of the many hits of Brooks, the audience too immediately caught on and Timberlake’s concert, for a few moments, became an admiration society for Brooks instead!
This wasn’t Timberlake’s only experience with a Brooks song onstage either. When he was only a young boy, Timberlake had taken to the stage in a talent show in Memphis and guess what song he performed to – Two of a Kind, Workin’ on a Full House, again, one of Garth’s hits!
In the entertainment world, stories of jealousy and infighting are commonplace. In such an industry, witnessing genuine respect and love for another’s art is indeed refreshing. Surely, Justin Timberlake and Garth Brooks, and even Trisha Yearwood deserve a round of applause for teaching other stars a thing or two!
