Why Stars Like Jennifer Aniston and George Clooney Love Cabo San Lucas

Cabo is a Mexican get-away spot that’s a favorite draw for celebrities like Jennifer Aniston and George Clooney. In fact, the stars famously rang in the New Year in Cabo San Lucas just two years ago, joined by Justin Theroux, Jimmy Kimmel, John Krasinski and his wife Emily Blunt. The most decorated Olympian of all time, swimmer Michael Phelps, has also been seen partying at this top tourist destination.
Much of the attraction to the area is due to its location, known as “Land’s End,” Cabo is right at the southern tip of the Baja Peninsula where the Pacific Ocean meets the Sea of Cortez. The area has been developed with a line of gated communities and exclusive hotels called the Corridor, which is where many of the Hollywood elite gather. High-end resorts there include Las Ventanas, Esperanza and the One & Only Palmilla.
From December to March every year, movie stars and regular folks alike can enjoy whale-watching. From waterfront resort balconies, pods of whales can be seen having completed their 6,000 mile trip from Alaska to bear their calves in the warm southern waters.
Whether it’s big-game fishing, kayaking or laying prone somewhere on a beach, the area is diverse enough to offer it all, and of course the resorts feature spas, fine dining and a wide range of nightlife and entertainment choices. With some 3 million tourists flocking to the area every year, from families on a budget to honeymooners to Hollywood A-listers, the variety is endless.
Golf fans like George Clooney, for instance, might well be attracted by the world class courses that dot the landscape. The natural desert terrain, reminiscent of Arizona, is made unforgettable with its vivid backdrop of the Sea of Cortez.
Over the years, other celebrities spotted vacationing at Cabos include Fergie and Josh Duhamel, John Travolta, Eva Longoria, and Jennifer Lopez. Although celebrity-sightings aren’t unusual, many of the famous faces choose to stay away from the hordes in private resorts in the Corridor. This potent mix of paradise and privacy is a proven magnet for celebrities on vacation.

Jennifer Aniston Is ‘Most Beautiful’ In 2016

For 2016, People has named the former Friends actress as their World’s Most Beautiful Woman.
This is the second time that Aniston has been named as People’s World’s Most Beautiful Woman, joining Julia Roberts and Michelle Pfeiffer as the other two to accomplish this feat.
Aniston is currently 47, and still looks stunning. The oldest person to win the honor was Sandra Bullock who was 50 in 2015.
Aniston’s title also makes her a record breaker in another way: she’s the second oldest woman to win the title, following just behind Sandra Bullock who won the title in 2015 aged 50.
She told People magazine that she was “very, very flattered” upon hearing the news.

The Friends Cast Is Sort Of Getting Back Together

A Friends reunion is probably the one wish that almost all of us hold in our hearts, and although we have been told time and again that such a phenomenon is far from coming true, we still haven’t lost hope! Well, this time around, this wish of ours is coming true up to a certain extent.

No, we do not mean a reunion episode of Friends, all we are getting is a coming together of the different cast members for one purpose – honoring famed director James Burrows, the man who also happened to direct 15 of their sitcom’s episodes. Of course, Burrows now has the distinction of directing a whopping 1000 sitcom episodes, in honor of which milestone NBC is hosting the special event.
While Jennifer Aniston, Courtney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, Mathew Perry and Matt LeBlanc had been the one thing we just couldn’t do without during the Friends years, and then years after too, thanks to the many reruns we were treated too. However, whenever talk of a possible reunion came up, we only had to face disappointment. Now, even though this isn’t the reunion we have been praying for, we will at least see all the cast members on one platform!

For starters, even though this bit of news makes it sound like this event is all about the Friends cast getting back together, the fact is that this one’s all about Burrows and his amazing achievements on the television front. After all, how could you ignore the fact that this man has directed a phenomenal 1000 episodes of sitcoms! Burrows crossed this mark in November last year while directing an episode for Crowded and NBC decided that this accomplishment deserved some star-studded applause.

Therefore, the network is bringing back together the cast members of some the most landmark sitcoms that Burrows has directed. Along with the Friends cast, that is clearly hogging the limelight, the casts of Mike & Molly, The Big Bang Theory, Frasier, Will & Grace, Taxi and Cheers are also expected to star in the telecast. The special two-hour event will be aired on February 21st and the taping is set to begin soon.

As for whether the cast members of our favorite show will even have to be in the same room to tape their bit of the show? Even the Entertainment Chairman for NBC, Robert Greenblatt has his doubts. “I’m hoping all six will be in same room at same time. I’m not sure we can logistically pull it off.”

Well, we will at least be seeing them all together on a single screen talking about the same things – and maybe even reminiscing the good old days on the Friends sets. And who know, all that reminiscing may even prompt them all to star in a real reunion episode, with Burrows directing them!

Oh there we go on our Friends reunion episode dream again. But honestly, for now, we can’t really ask for more than what we are getting! Thank you James Burrows, and congratulations on an amazing career!

Cake – Jennifer Aniston

Every once in a while, an artist gets a challenge that surpasses every other and is deemed a milestone. Cake is one such movie that proves to be a milestone in Jennifer Aniston’s career. Well known for her roles with a high glamor quotient, Aniston’s role in Cake is just the opposite.
Aniston actually went makeup free throughout the movie. They added scars to her face to help portray a part of her character’s story. She shows a wide range of emotions which captivate you once you’ve seen them on screen. The movie made headlines even before it hit theaters for these reasons and was seen as the FRIENDS hit actor’s ticket to the Oscars.
Although the awards season didn’t quite work out as planned for Aniston, Cake was well received by critics and the audience alike.
The movie especially drawing attention towards Aniston’s excellent portrayal of a difficult role and proved that the actor is indeed talented and can cover a wider sphere than most originally thought.
Directed by Daniel Barnz and written by Patrick Tobin, Cake has Aniston portraying the main role of Claire Bennett, with Adriana Barraza, Anna Kendrick as Nina Collins, Sam Worthington as Roy Collins and Mamie Gummer as Bomie supporting her well. Some other important names in the cast include Felicity Huffman, William H. Macy, Chris Messina, Lucy Punch and Britt Robertson among others. Aniston leads the team of producers along with Shyam Madiraju as executive producers with Ben Barnz, Mark Canton, Kristin Hahn, Courtney Solomon as producers, along with a host of co-producers. Kristina Boden and Michelle Harrison have taken charge of the editing while Rachel Morrison is the cinematographer for the movie.
Cake revolves around the character of Claire who suffers from chronic pain and is learning how to deal with the loss of her son. She is also going through a separation from her husband, one she surely isn’t able to handle well and to top it all, her physical discomfort and struggle makes things even more difficult for her confused state of mind. The trouble she has with her therapist and therapy group tells the audience of her inability to accept help while details like her husband wanting to drop in and pick up his things only when she isn’t at home shows how frustrating her attitude is for those around her. The movie takes us through Claire’s struggles, her physical and emotional ups and downs, and then, her own ways of dealing with it all, not that the outlets and methods she chooses are always right.
Cake hit theaters on 23rd January 2015 and has a runtime of 102 minutes, each minute taking you through the same roller coaster of emotions that Claire Bennett suffers. Jennifer Aniston has done a great job indeed, considering that this is the very first time she is dealing with a subject as heavy as this one, and the movie will tell you that and more.

Jennifer Aniston,Her Marriage, Oscar Snub and Great Discovery

There’s so much going on in Jennifer Aniston’s life right now that we simply had to let you guys in. So here’s an update on the Cake actress!
On the professional front, Aniston couldn’t be happier, and this in spite the fact that her phenomenal work in Cake was given a cold reception on the Oscars list of nominations. On the Ellen DeGeneres Show, the ravishing actress answered Ellen’s statement on how the lack of nomination had come as a shock to everyone saying, “Yeah. I’m the No. 1 snubbed! That’s the silver lining.” Of course, with the rave review her role has received from fans as well as critics, the absence of an Oscar nomination surely shouldn’t bother her too much. The role itself has been extremely satisfying for Aniston and the 45-year old beauty, who went sans makeup for the project, called the work a “beautiful, hopeful movie”.
On the personal front, her life is going great with Justin Theroux and she has nothing but words of praise for him, even where cooking is concerned. “He’s a great cook. Breakfast? He does huevos rancheros that are divine. That was actually yesterday’s breakfast. He really goes to town,” she explained. “Anything he commits himself to, he…knocks it out of the park,: she says, clearly impressed with all that her beau does! When talks of a wedding came up, Aniston simply said they love to do it without notice. “Sometimes, it means just go ahead and just do it,” Aniston told E! News, though she also knew the move could disappoint many. “That might bum a lot of people out if we did that, especially his mom,” she said.

Aniston has laid to rest her past demons with regards to Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie too, and has instead blamed the media for going on and on about a story that isn’t even there. “We’re not in daily communication. But we wish nothing but wonderful things for each other. Nobody did anything wrong. If the world only could just stop with the stupid, soap-opera b*******. There’s no story. Please, give more credit to these human beings.” she said in a Hollywood Reporter interview. Earlier, she had spoken on the same lines to Entertainment Tonight saying, “’I think it’s time people stop with that petty B.S. and just start celebrating great work and stop with the petty kind of silliness. It’s just tiresome and old. It’s like an old leather shoe. Let’s buy a new pair of shiny shoes.”
Aniston recently revealed her tryst with dyslexia too, saying how she happened to discover she suffered from it only when she went in to get prescription glasses. “I thought I wasn’t smart. I just couldn’t retain anything. Now I had this great discovery. I felt like all of my childhood trauma-dies, tragedies, dramas were explained,” she says of the revelation.
All her experiences in life have made Aniston calmer, and thoughtful too. “Time moves really quickly these days, I don’t know why,” she says in her interview to Hollywood Reporter. “How many times did our parents say, ‘Stop wanting everything to rush’? You want summer to be over, you want Christmas to be over, you want this to be over, you want everything to be over just so you can get to the next thing. And boy, you really wish you’d listened to a lot of the things they said.”
Well, for our sake and hers, we hope time stands still for a while so we can appreciate and enjoy all that Jennifer Aniston has given to us, her forever fans.

A Summary of The 2015 Screen Actors Guild Awards

The annual Screen Actors Guild Awards ceremony was held on Sunday evening and the glittering who’s who from Hollywood and the television industry made their starry presence felt at the occasion. Although the winners and presenters took up the stage and found the limelight in the true sense, the others too managed to light up the evening, first on the red carpet and then at the tables.

The award is a hit with the movies as well as television audience and along with the Golden Globes, pretty much gives everyone an idea as to which performances and which movies will shine at the Academy Awards. Of course, the SAGs are as prestigious as they come too and this year around, a few names shone above the rest. Among the ace winners of the evening were Eddie Redmayne, Julianne Moore, JK Simmons and Patricia Arquette. Birdman again featured prominently too.
Apart from the winners, there was plenty going on at the ceremony too, and to the fans and the audience back home, this bit was a lot more interesting! First on the list were the stars arriving on the red carpet with their extraordinary ensembles and radiant faces. Reese Witherspoon, Uzo Aduba, Emmy Rossum, the ever-hot Sofia Vergera, Gewndoline Christie, Keira Knightley, Felicity Jones, Julianne Moore, who also snagged the Female Actor in a Leading Role Award, Lorelei Linklater, Emma Stone, Julia Roberts, Julie Bowen, Ariel Winter, Laura Carmichael  and of course Jennifer Aniston were among the actresses that immediately caught the attention of photographers.
On stage too, there was plenty to keep the audience in rapt attention. While the presenters were in a class by themselves, the names of winners of course managed to get worthy applause. There were quite a few awkward and surprising moments too and of course, these were the most interesting. Among them was Zach Galifianakis’ new slimmer look, Naomi Watts tripping over Emma Stone’s dress, Debbie Reynolds talking about hairdos, Jared Leto announcing that he intends to keep Mark Ruffalo’s trophy after sawing it in half and an applause track that played out of nowhere!

The night was an interesting one and apart from according applause to the winners, there was plenty of other action to keep the audience entertained too.
Here is the list of winners:

Jennifer Aniston Says Her 1996 Nude Cover Blazed the Way For Kim Kardashian’s Cover

Jennifer Aniston “was an original” when, 18 years and another world ago, she bared her behind on the ‘Girl Friend’ cover of Rolling Stone. Take that, Break-the-Internet Kardashian!
The ‘Horrible Bosses 2’ star said in an interview last week with Extra that unlike Kardashian’s Paper cover, her own “was just innocent” and that there was “nothing aggressive” about it. Seems the actress agrees with Vogue editor Anna Wintour who recently suggested that the 34-year-old reality star, who is married to Kanye West, is not “deeply tasteful.”
In an attempt to perhaps show that it’s all in fun, the 45-year-old fiancee of Justin Theroux added a tongue-in-cheek “Sorry, Kim K!” shout out.
Aniston’s cheeky appearance was her second Rolling Stone cover. The first had been a year earlier, when she posed with four of her ‘Friends’ co-stars — the TV series that had catapulted the cast to stardom after a quiet start in 1994.

On the other hand, Kardashian had already bared it all (and more) in her very first public outing: that infamous sex tape released in 2007, as well as in a Playboy spread in the same year.
It all pays, though, with Kardashian said to be worth $65 million, and Aniston’s net worth estimated at $150 million.

The Headliners on the List of Golden Globe Nominations

The Golden Globe nominations have been announced and as usual, there are some names that make for more interesting headlines that the others. This time around, a few prominent names are surprisingly making news even when they aren’t a part of the list, or maybe a part of it but not in as big a way as many would have thought. Here’s the lowdown.
Heading the list of nominees is Birdman with seven nominations, which include prominent categories like Best Comedy, Best Director for Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu, Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy for Michael Keaton, Best Supporting Actress for Emma Stone and Best Supporting Actor for Edward Norton. The movie also found a place in the Best Screenplay and Best Score categories. Next in line is Boyhood with nominations in Best Drama, Best Director for Richard Linklater, Best Supporting Actress for Patricia Arquette, Best Supporting Actor for Ethan Hawke and Best Screenplay. Surprisingly, the main protagonist of the movie Ellar Coltrane could not bag a nomination. The Imitation Game was another winner on the list with nominations in Best Drama, Best Actor in a Drama for Benedict Cumberbatch, Best Supporting Actress for Keira Knightley, Best Screenplay for Graham Moore and Best Score coming its way.

Other prominent nominees included Jennifer Aniston for Cake, Julianne Moore for Still Alice, Reese Witherspoon for Wild, Felicity Jones for The Theory of Everything and Rosamund Pike for Gone Girl, all of them making the Best Actress in a Drama list. The Best Actor in a Drama list included Steve Carell for Foxcatcher, Jake Gyllenhaal for Nightcrawler, Eddie Redmayne for The Theory of Everything and David Oyelowo for Selma. In the Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy category, Ralph Fiennes for The Grand Budapest Hotel, Bill Murray for St. Vincent, Christoph Waltz for Big Eyes and Joaquin Phoenix for Inherent Vice all join Keaton in the race while the Best Actress nominations in the same genre include Helen Mirren for The Hundred-Foot Journey, Quvenzhané Wallis for Annie, Emily Blunt for Into the Woods, Julianne Moore for Map to the Stars and Amy Adams for Big Eyes.
A few nasty surprises were in store too, and Unbroken and Interstellar topped this list. While Angelina Jolie’s Unbroken has been making headlines all over, it was, unfortunately, completely ignored by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. Interstellar too didn’t do very well and its only nomination came in the Best Score category. Other movies that distressingly did not make the list were American Sniper, Mr. Turner, Rosewater and The Hobbit: Battle of the Five Armies. The journalists on the panel seemed to have nurtured an aversion for hunks too as Channing Tatum did not make it to the list of nominees for his performance in Foxcatcher and neither did Ben Affleck for Gone Girl. Bradley Cooper too failed to impress them in American Sniper.
The ones who made it were elated of course and among them were the ones who are rocking the music world already and have now made an impression in the world of movies too. Lorde has made quite an impression with her track Yellow Flicker Beat in The Hunger Games Mockingjay Part I and so has Lana Del Ray for her Big Eyes for the movie with the same name and have rightfully won nominations. Sia Furler, Will Gluck and Greg Kurstin join them on the list too, for their Opportunity number in Annie.
The 72nd Golden Globes awards night will be held on 11th January, 2015 with Tina Fey and Amy Poehler again taking to the stage as hosts.

Jennifer Aniston Discusses Her Stance On Motherhood

Women are not obligated to have children.
While that statement might seem obvious to most (hopefully), Jennifer Aniston is still tired of being asked about when she expects to have her first child. This week, the former star of Friends sat down with Carson Daly on the Today show and the two discussed her life, her career and yes, motherhood.
Daly asked Aniston about her interview earlier this year with acclaimed feminist Gloria Steinem at the February Makers Conference. There, Aniston stated that, “Being a woman, your value and worth are determined by your marital status and whether or not you’ve procreated.”
Aniston explains that she and Steinem had talked about this issue for a long time in private and have repeatedly expressed their frustrations with the expectations still put on women. “It is such an issue of, like, ‘Are you married yet? Are you going to have babies yet?” she said to Daly. Aniston is currently engaged to writer and director, Justin Theroux.
“I don’t have this sort of checklist of things that have to be done, and.. if they’re not checked, then I’ve failed some part of my feminism or my being a woman or my worth and my value as a woman because I haven’t birthed a child.”
“I’ve birthed a lot of things,” she insisted, “I feel like I’ve mothered many things and I don’t think it’s fair to put that pressure [of having children] on people.”
Perhaps the “many things” Aniston states she has “mothered” include her impressive list of hit Hollywood films. Last year’s We’re the Millers made $269 billion at the box office. For nearly a decade, she has been the “Queen of the Romantic Comedy”, but is now branching out into some darker roles. This includes playing a kidnapped socialite in Life of Crime a dark comedy hitting theaters this weekend. Aniston has also consistently placed on Forbes list of 100 richest celebrities, with a current net worth of $150 million.
In the interview with Daly, the Horrible Bosses 2 actress also states how grateful she is for all of the opportunities she has had in her career, because they have all helped her reach where she is now.
When asked how her career has changed since Friends ended in 2004, she remarked that, “I feel like I’ve grown up three times. I feel like I’ve had three different periods of adolescence. I’ve had an incredible evolution. I keep seeing these little lifetimes that I lived, and they’re all so wonderful. They all served me so well…I feel very grateful to my evolution and my history. I would never exchange it for anything.”

Will Jennifer Aniston And Her New Makeup Free Movie Role Help Her Win An Oscar?

After playing glamorous roles all her life, including in the hit television series Friends, Jennifer Aniston may finally be on her way to some serious recognition of her acting skills with Cake.
A drama, the movie tells the story of a woman surviving a car accident only to end up suffering chronic pain. The character played by Aniston then goes on to become obsessed with a woman in the support group she joins to get out of her painkiller addiction. The movie was shot in a mere 33 days and even more than this news, the fact that Aniston went sans makeup for the entire duration of the shooting period is making headlines. Except for prosthetic scarring on her face, an addition required by the role, Aniston reportedly wore no makeup whatsoever. Surprisingly, the otherwise fashionable actress enjoyed this too. “It was so fabulous, and so dreamy and so empowering and liberating,” she said. “As women, we do feel that we have to live up to an expectation whether it is on camera or going to the market. The truth of the matter is that that is not always the way it is. We don’t always have our high heels on. We don’t always have our hair and makeup on.”
Speaking about the movie and her role, Aniston revealed her reasons for taking up the role readily saying, “When I read it I knew it was the role of a lifetime. How could I turn that down? Just reading [screenwriter Patrick Tobin’s] script I actually saw myself doing it. I just felt like it was already happening and it was pretty easy to say ‘yes’.” Referring to her role, Aniston elaborated on how she played out a relatively complex character saying, “It was such a beautiful, complex, layered, tortured character. I just tapped into something I was meant to do. It was a no-brainer.” While Aniston is more than thrilled about the movie, director and executive producer Daniel Barnz too claims that she was always the first choice for the role. “When my wife and producing partner and I first read Cake just 14 months ago, we knew we had to go to Jennifer Aniston. It was the most obvious un-obvious choice – she’s mega-talented, but we’ve never seen the whole range of her extraordinary comic and dramatic abilities showcased in one role.”
The movie premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and received a standing ovation there and since then, talks of Aniston possibly winning an Academy Award for her portrayal of the challenging role have been making the rounds in film circles. The release date of the movie too has been adjusted, so that it is one of the movies in contention at the 2015 Oscars.
The movie, apart from roles played by Anna Kendrick, Sam Worthington, William H. Macy, Felicity Huffman, Chris Messina, Mamie Gummer and Adriana Barraza, is also the last movie for the late Misty Upham, who died in October.

Horrible Bosses 2 – Trailer

In the original Horrible Bosses (2011), three buddies decide that all their problems would be solved if they simply murdered their bosses, and they formed a plot to do just that. In Horrible Bosses 2 (2014), instead of killing their bosses, friends Dale (Charlie Day, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia), Kurt (Jason Sudeikis, We’re the Millers), and Nick (Jason Bateman, TV’s Arrested Development) decide to become their own bosses.
They start their own business but get played by a dirty investor. Unable to see any other remedy, they launch a crazy scheme to kidnap the investor’s son, hold him for ransom, and resolve their problems.
Also returning from the original Horrible Bosses is cinematic sweetheart Jennifer Aniston (most famous for TV’s Friends) as the raunchy, sexy Dr. Julia Harris. In the original Horrible Bosses she was Dale’s boss, a debauched dentist. Aniston is 45 now, but she’s still playing a kinky vixen, this time coming on to Nick Hendricks by aggressively suggesting they get busy in a dental chair.
For a long time it was up in the air whether Christoph Waltz (Django Unchained) would take a role in Horrible Bosses 2, but it appears he’s on-board for the project, playing the evil investor. Chris Pine (Star Trek) also appears, as the unfortunate kidnapping victim. Kevin Spacey (American Beauty) is David Harken.
Sean Anders (We’re the Millers) takes over for Seth Gordon (Identity Thief) as director, working from a screenplay he wrote together with John Morris. The two co-wrote We’re the Millers and Hot Tub Time Machine, making them veterans of the racy comedy genre. Seth Gordon declined to be involved in the new project, citing an exceptionally busy schedule shooting new ABC sitcom The Goldbergs.
Horrible Bosses 2 has been completed and is set to be released November 26, 2014. It’s rated R for strong crude sexual content and language throughout.
