The cast, the crew and a rocking Aston martin car all got together at Pinewood Studios to announce the 24th James Bond movie to hit the floors – Spectre.
The movie’s name reveals that this installment of the 007 franchise will revolve around the evil global terrorist organization Special Executive for Counter-intelligence, Terrorism, Revenge and Extortion, led by Blofeld. Now if that nasty name doesn’t make for an evil organization, we don’t know what else will! Christopher Waltz, one of the new additions to the cast, hasn’t confirmed if he plays the legendary villain or another character associated with the organization but he does promise a great movie. “I can tell you, you should go and see the movie, and everything is going to be beautifully displayed for you. All your wildest hopes are going to be fulfilled and all your wishes and dreams will come true, in terms of Bond, of course. The rest is your business,” Waltz said.
Other new faces that will be a part of the movie include Andrew Scott as Denbigh, the oh-so-hot and still-so-ravishing Monica Bellucci as Lucia Sciarra, who incidentally will be the oldest Bond girl, the hunky Dave Bautista as Mr. Hinx and Lea Seydoux as Madeleine Swann.
Reprising their roles in the ultimate spy franchise will be Daniel Craig as who else but Bond, James Bond, Naomie Harris as Moneypenny, Rory Kinnear as Bill Tanner, Ben Whishaw as Q and Ralph Fiennes as M. The new movie also features a hot new Aston martin, the DB 10 and Craig, ever in the mood to play out the role of the destructive agent, has promised the audience, “It is great, I haven’t wrecked this one yet but I will.” Well, that’s a shame Mr. Bond, can’t you spare these beautiful machines for once!
Did we mention how Craig’s ‘grandad’ jumper made as much news as the svelte looking car? Well, several fans thought Craig’s ensemble just didn’t make the cut for a Bond movie announcement. Tweets ranging from “Love James Bond. Love Daniel Craig. Love the new title: Spectre. But don’t want to see Bond in his sensible jumper,” to “Daniel Craig has officially opened Christmas jumper season” set the social media platform afire and soon enough, a spoof image of Craig in a Christmassy version of the jumper began making the rounds! Come on, it wasn’t that bad, or was it?
Now back to some news on the movie to take your mind off the jumper! As with every Bond movie, the best locations in the world will be featured in Spectre too, including Mexico City, Solden, Lake Altaussee, Tangier, Obertilliach as well as the more common London and Rome. The movie is aiming for a release date of 6th November next year.
