Charlie Sheen and his ex-wife Brooke Mueller have settled a custody dispute related to their twin boys, Bob and Max. Mueller had gone to court to restrict her ex-husband’s visits, saying Sheen was too stern with the children, even using corporal punishment and was often drunk when he dropped in. The duo were due in court on Tuesday for a hearing but patched up their differences on Monday, agreeing to monitored visitations.
This isn’t the first time Sheen and Mueller have gone head to head over the custody and visiting right of the twin boys. Last year, Sheen had moved court for a reduction in child support payments. The location of Mueller had their kids have also been a contentious issue with the mother wanting to move out of California while Sheen wanted his family right where he was. Finally, Mueller had agreed to living within a 50-mile radius of Sheen’s mansion.
Both have had their run-ins with alcohol and drugs but surprisingly, Mueller even leaves Sheen behind with her long list of problems. She has gone into rehab a whopping 20 times and Sheen even said that her alcohol abuse has affected their children. In fact, even Denise Richards had once stepped in to take care of the boys while Mueller made one of her many trips to rehab.
When confronted with a long list of accusations, the Two and a Half Men star had retorted that due to Mueller’s own vices, the twins were born with fetal alcohol syndrome and needed medical assistance.
Sheen and Mueller were married for two years until their divorce in 2010 and since then, the two have had several disputes over which to lock horns. Well, at least they have settled this one for now!
